EKALAVYA ORGANIC AGRICULTURAL POLYTECHNIC

Ekalavya Organic Agricultural Polytechnic (EOAP) was established in the year 2018 at Gingurthy (V), Tandur (M), Vikarabad district of Telangana state and it is affiliated to Professor Jaya Shankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) Hyderabad.

HOW WE DO

Value chain Addition at KVK

Diploma in Organic/Natural Agriculture and Horticulture deals with the Organic crop productions of field crops, Horticultural crops and their post- harvest technology, farm mechanization, soil health management, study of rural sociology and farmers psychology, integrated farming systems including livestock management, Natural Resource Management, Organic certification and linkage with industries.

Diploma in Organic Agriculture

  • Promotion of Organic/Natural Farming in the State
  • Human resource development
  • Promotion of low cost system of Organic production and certification
  • Encouraging entrepreneurship skills at Diploma level.

  • Demo plots for hands-on experience in every phase of agriculture operations.

  • Latest and modern Farm equipment.
  • Goshala within the premises and hands on training of Goshala Management.
  • 30% theory and 70% practicals.

Student Amenities

  • A separate hostel for boys and girl students. Boys hostel has a capacity of 120. Girl's hostel has a capacity of 100.
  • Separate TV hall and study rooms, hot water facility.
  • A Reverse Osmosis (RO) drinking water facility
  • Games and sports facilities — outdoor and indoor
  • Well maintained Library, computer lab
  • Guest lecturers with professionals.

  • First aid services are available within the premises.
  • Mini Ambulance for medical emergency.
  • Primary Health Centre (PHC), Gingurthy is within 1 Km radius and Govt. District Hospital facility at Tandur.

Avenue for Diploma Students

  • Placement opportunities in Organic agriculture based industries like Seed and Bio Fertilizer industries.
  • Self-employment opportunities like preparation and sale of bio-fertilisers, bio pesticides and other organic products
  • Managing their own farms organically.
  • To work as Consultant to other farmers and farms
  • Further pursuit of Graduation course B.Sc.(Ag.). at University colleges through AGRICET entrance and other opportunities
  • 10% seats were reserved for Diploma holders.
