Cow plays a very important role in non-chemical based agriculture. EGVF has a well maintained Goshala at Gingurthy with over 50 cows. We produce various byproducts of daily use using Cow dung and urine and training is also being offered to Rural youth to make products which can be marketed by being an entrepreneur. We are making various products with cow dung and cow urine like Dhoop sticks, Diyas, vermicompost, Go Arc, pest control liquids, phenyl, pain balm, Vaseline, etc. We are also making cow milk based products like butter milk, ghee etc.,
We are maintaining four different indigenous breeds in the farm and these are the main resource for practicing organic farming. The products derived from indigenous cows are having lot of demand in the market. Cow dung from Goshala is utilized for crop production, Biogas and vermicompost.
